Taylor Can Ride His Bike!!!

So we struggled all last summer. I listened to, "I can't, " "I'll never get it," and "You made me fall, it is your fault." When I got tired of it I yelled. It wasn't working.....then Spring 2009 dawned. I had an idea. I counselled him we could only say things like, "I'll try again," "I am getting better," and "I'll get it eventually." It payed off....

Here Kelby shoved him off in my direction and then snapped a picture. He made it too. We are so proud of our little Taylor bug! I worked with him for an hour that morning and then Kelby came out and gave him a shove and the kid did it on his own without even knowing it. When he arrived to my side of the driveway I had him turn around and savor his success.

Ian was so excited to ride a bike too. In fact he loved it, and announced to anyone that would hear, "I'm riding a bike!!!"

Eventually Taylor became quite a pro and he can get started on his own and ride around. We love you Taylor!

Union Station In Odgen, UT

So the day I came down from Idaho to pick up my boys I met my mom in Ogden for my cousins wedding reception. I figured this was a good spot as it saved me two hours driving. Little did I know that there would be actual trains my kids could play on that were no longer in service there. I couldn't have picked a better spot. They loved it!
Now that is big. I wouldn't want to get run down by a train. Have you ever stood next to one? Very massive indeed.
Awestruck Ian.

Pleased as punch.
